It would be kind of Hatton not to allude to the Brook Green gathering as friends are sometimes sensitive to not receiving invitations. On letterhead of 15a Crafton Street, Bond Street W. With accompanying envelope addressed to Hatton at 14 Titchfield Terrace, Regents Park. Also with a printed invitation filled in in manuscript to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hatton at The Grange, Brook Green on Tuesday the 8th of July.

Sir Henry Irving (1838-1905) was a British actor-manager. Born Feb. 6, 1838, in Keinton Mandeville, Somerset, Eng., he died Oct. 13, 1905, in Bradford, Yorkshire. Irving's original name was John Henry Brodribb. He achieved early success and began to play leading roles throughout London, often with Ellen Terry.
